Description
Teal, heart shaped enamelled copper necklace on a silver coloured, surgical steel chain. Surgical steel looks silver, but doesn’t tarnish or cause allergic reactions. The necklace is presented in a black box. On the final firing, I gave the necklace longer in the kiln, called overfiring. This overfiring has given pale and dark dots and a dark outer edge. The enamel colour was called teal – it’s a blue-turquoise colour. The chain is slightly longer than often, at about 60cm total length, because it can always be made shorter with a knot. The back of the necklace has been enamelled in the same colour because the enamel on the back stops it warping too much in the kiln. One photo shows the back. The pendant is about 3.5cm high.
