Copper fake flower, based on the wild red poppies I find growing locally, with a wooden base. The flower has been coated with lacquer to try to keep the bright, clean copper colour, but may go darker with time, especially in damp or hot environments. The wooden base is reclaimed wood and has been stained a dark oak colour. The flower is about 19cm tall. The flower is quite flat, the sides don’t curl up much.
In the photos I’ve included two images to show imperfections. One shows a small number of dark marks on the leaf that were stubborn bits of copper oxide I couldn’t polish out and the other shows some silvery marks on the flower that are marks formed during brazing.
Every item I make is unique, therefore the one you receive may differ a little from the one shown in the photo. Currently I only one of these made so if you would like more than one it will take a bit of time to make. If you want a variation to this item, please get in touch because I can do custom orders. Also, please get in touch if you would like more information.
