Description
Copper greyhound with lightly textured surface, mounted in a wood-effect frame with white background. The greyhound is sitting.
The frame is 25cm by 20cm and a pale oak colour. I’ve removed the glass from the frame to be able to fully see the greyhound.
I made the greyhound by cutting a sitting greyhound shape out of sheet copper, polishing it and then hammering the surface. The back looked more interesting than the front so that’s what you see. I finished it with lacquer to keep the copper nice and shiny.
The photos have for got the head paler, it isn’t, it’s just how the light fell as I took the photos (and I didn’t realise until too late)
