Blue spotty enamelled copper bowl or dish. I made this bowl using transparent blue enamel. On the final firing I added crushed glass pieces to make the bowl more interesting. There is a copper swirl in the centre though the crushed glass has hidden it a little. The crushed glass has given the bowl a bumpy surface.
The bowl is 8.3cm diameter and 1cm tall.
This is a decorative dish so please don’t put it in the dishwasher because the enamel could chip or crack (I use vitreous enamel, which is effectively glass). The back of the blue spotty bowl is enamelled in pale blue and may show some marks from how the bowl is held when it is in the kiln. Enamelling the back reduces how much the copper warps in the kiln.
