These are a selection of the flowers I’ve made. The flowers are made by cutting leaves, any sepal and layers of petals from sheet 0.5mm thick copper using a jeweller’s saw. For some of the flowers I enamel the petals and leaves, otherwise the petals are textured. The petals, leaves and sepals are brazed onto copper pipe or wire and shaped. If the petals and leaves were not enamelled, they get pickled clean and then lacquered. The final step is to attach the stem to a stained block of wood so that the flower stands.
